Trusted Resources
Here are some trusted resources as you bring your companion home.
Founded in 1884, the American Kennel Club (AKC) is the recognized and trusted expert in breed, health, and training information for dogs. AKC actively advocates for responsible dog ownership and is dedicated to advancing dog sports.
Acidog is a great resource for new puppy owners. They combine science, art and over 40 years of dog breeding experience to create, develop and present puppy rearing courses, programs and equipment for puppy owners and dog breeders.
Puppy Culture is a great resource for bringing home your new puppy. Their film, “Puppy Culture: The Powerful First 12 Weeks That Can Shape Your Puppy’s Future,” follows one litter of puppies through the program and checks back on them over the next three years so you can see the profound, almost unbelievable results of the Puppy Culture program!
Havanese Partners
Havanese Rescue Inc, (HRI) is an independent charitable organization that has been rescuing Havanese and Havanese-mix dogs in need since 2004. They are committed to maintaining the highest standards in responsible rescue. HRI prides itself on supportive relationships with their foster and adoptive families. Collaborative efforts between HRI and Havanese Breed Clubs help provide a safety net for our beloved breed.
Our friend Laura at Grandview Havanese raises lovely puppies in Enumclaw, Washington.
The Cascade Havanese Club (CHC) was formed in 2003. Members come together on a regular basis to share their love for the Havanese breed, learn from others, hold specialty shows, and enjoy their dogs!
